Bacon Butterscotch Blondies

When I made blondies the other day my husband said, “These taste like pancakes with syrup and bacon all in one bite.” Making a dessert that tasted like breakfast was not my intention. But maybe it should have been.

I’ve always been a fan of breakfast. Eggs sunny side up? Yum. Pork sausage? Why, of course. Waffles topped with fresh whipped cream and strawberries? Heck yes.  And desserts that taste like breakfast? Well, that’s just music to this breakfast foods lover’s ears.
