Simple, Sweet, and Spicy

Looking for something that will make your tacos, hot dogs or chili go from just okay to amazing? Well, you’re in luck because I have just the thing for you. Jalapenos. Sweet jalapenos. I know. It sounds a bit weird. Almost like an oxymoron. But, like chocolate covered bacon, you just have to try it and see for yourself. Plus, they’re unbelievably easy to make.

Slice up jalapenos.

Sweet Jalapenos

Ingredients

¾ cup granulated sugar

¾ cup water

3-4 jalapenos

Directions

Combine sugar and water in a medium saucepan. Bring mixture to a boil, stirring constantly until the sugar has dissolved. Take off heat and cool completely.

Cut jalapenos into ¼ inch rounds. Place jalapeno rounds in a glass jar and cover with simple syrup. Cover with lid and refrigerate.
