Cookie Love

I think I’m in love. With a cookie.  Yes. That’s right. Your eyes are not deceiving you. I’m in love. With a cookie. Seriously. Like cross my heart and hope to… fly to Santorini. I. Can’t. Stop. Eating. Them. I even ate one right after breakfast while my girls were watching cartoons. What? They are just so darn good.

You are probably thinking one of three things:

  1. Are these *ahem* special cookies?
  2. Call the crazy police. *In a British accent* We’ve got ourselves a nutter. (I recently started watching Doctor Who and am totally addicted.)
  3. What kind of cookie is it?

My responses to these things are:

  1. NO.
  2. I am not crazy. Try them. You too may become obsessed.
  3. Double Fudge Oreo Crunch.

IMG_6629 I used the Wal-Mart version of Oreos. Tastes the same but much cheaper.
IMG_6689 Kinda looks like chocolate ice cream.
IMG_6732 I could probably eat a whole batch of just the dough.
IMG_6769 A stack of my new love.
IMG_6823 Don’t you want one now?

What cookies are you in love with?

Double Fudge Oreo Crunch Cookies from How Sweet It Is

makes about 30 cookies

1 cup butter, at room temperature

1 1/2 cups sugar

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 cups flour

1/2 cup cocoa powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup chocolate chips

1 cup crushed Oreo cookies

Cream butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla until fluffy. Add flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt and mix until combined.

Fold in chocolate chips and crushed Oreos. Refrigerate dough for 2-4 hours (or more). When ready to bake, preheat oven to 350, roll into balls or scoop with an ice cream scooper and set on baking sheet.

Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes. Let cool completely.
