Big Island Trip: Part 3

On Saturday we hung out with my friend Marianne and her adorable and incredibly smart daughter Leila.

We ate lunch at the Eddie Aikau Restaurant. The food was pretty good. A bit pricey, but mostly because it’s in a touristy resort area. Even though we went at peak lunch time, there were tons of open tables.

Hawaiian Chowder

Spicy Ahi

Watermelon Salad with Goat Cheese, Candied Macadamia Nuts, and a White Honey Vinaigrette

Chicken Fingers and Sweet Potato Fries

Bento of the Day: Fried Calamari and Prawns

After lunch we had some Tropical Dreams Chocolate Fudge Gelato.

As you can see, Thalia really enjoyed it.

We had a great time but I’m totally ready to head home.
